What
spices are in the packet sold with corned beef?
Spices are a big deal, to
me. And I think they were a big deal to our ancestors, too. Hence the
"spice trade" that brought so many spices to Europe from other parts
of the world, usually lumped together as Asia.
Even
decades ago I still note that the taste of the Lake Trout fish was about the
same as the pizza we ate, all locally caught and made living off the land (with
the flour and oil packed in), and most assuredly, often do to the spices our guide
and camp master used.
