Paradigm shift and operations analysis both have value

We humans can often ignore our more experienced and prejudiced senior leaders, and come up with our own opinions, or so the soothsayers say. In this idea, even the academics get some credit, too. I personally like the idea, mostly the independence of thought part of it. I really like the ideas if we get to hear about them. And often many of these ideas do fail.  Like military leaders, academics can have problems, too.

And there are other points of view.

And even during  the "smart bomb" work, ideas like using bats and pigeons came up too. Of course I am not privy to the discussions and arguments that went on at the time.

But for sure, I have confidence, call it trust, that these ideas got a fair shake.

In the end, the idea is to be smart as we can be about winning for our Country's mission.
