Pallet

            The word has other meanings, like an old time wooden bed.

            And even I have slept on pallets to keep about the water on the slopes of Mount Fuji, Japan; and even above the nighttime crabs when sleeping in the Caribbean on the beach.

Presently I use pallets to stay above the periodic water in my two-man foxhole, and kids play house. It kind of reminds me of the old time WWI  trench images.
