Trust, faith, and confidence

       Now when I lose trust, faith, and confidence in our USA federal government, then I have a problem. Basically, what appears to be going on makes me imagine things like incompetency, corruption, and just hiring stupid and low information people to rule us, and even being poorly led. Heck, maybe those hiring and leading  are also low information type people?  Maybe there is a hiring problem?  Maybe there is something else going on, to? And, if my worries are correct, then it will affect my life, and my Family's life, and my grandchildren's life, and so on down the line.  Hence my hackles are up. I don't want to die due to the incompetency of my rulers.

            That we are unilaterally  disarming really worries me. Despots around the world may end up killing a lot of us well intentioned people in the USA as a result. WWII cost us half a million dead, for example. Of course Plan B is just to surrender, like to Iran, for example. But even normally we will die in the end from that course of action, too. Just imagine what the Arab neighbors will do, for example.

            I personally enjoy the theory that we in the USA have been trying to make things better as a political philosophy. It is also often called liberalism, and even progressivism , and after a century the idea may now kill me in 2013. Even now nobody I know has heard of old ideas like dialectical materialism. It was an 1850s idea popular at the time. And now in 2013 I am even  having to relearn growing food like a serf, for example. So much for political theory. Just growing potatoes and tomatoes is enough for me these days. What a sad state of affairs

            So the times they are a changing.

            Even a FedEx truck just brought up some more serf like things. Now that is another kind of trust, faith, and confidence. At least it works to my satisfaction.
