Pot hole maintenance and the size of gravel

       Like most, I don't enjoy driving over and through potholes. In my case it is my long driveway, which does have potholes. The drive way is about 400 meters long, and is limestone gravel based on top of dirt and sand.

            I even have old photos of horse drawn wagons going through the driveway stuff.

            So yesterday, I did some "pot hole" maintenance using my tractor and bucket, and the pile of 1/2 inch limestone gravel I have. Today I will go out and even do some raking improvements to the driveway.

            But in the end, and in my opinion, a better choice for my driveway maintenance would have been 3/4 inch ground limestone gravel.

            Oh well.
