How to make homemade chips

There are about a zillion links on this subject, both video and written.

My idea is just to make them somehow, and serve them as benefits you the most. None of this is rocket science. Heck, I used to make my own potato chips over a half century ago.

And you can make them more or less "healthy",  depending on your situation. And you are not limited to potatoes, but can use about anything to make chips.  And you can both fry them (pan fry or deep fry), or oven bake them, too.  And you can season them about anyway you want to, also.

In other words, the sky's the limit.

Last, I assumed when I learned to make my own "chips" my father's intent was to save some money. Well, we kids beat him at his own game even as we put up with his system he had to pay for. The main lesson I learned was to make the chips as thin as possible for my preferences.  And I remember using a lot of salt to flavor these chips, and we used a lot of paper towels to best drain them. Now I would probably use a commercial spice mix, like a combination of salt and pepper and some other things; and if times get hard I might drain them more like the fast food places do.
