On the Nature of Religious Leadership
So many around the world are
religious. Maybe 2 to 3 billion out of over 6 billion. That's a big number. Most believe in some
kind of deity, some are more philosophical about their religion.
A wise and savvy leader would
recognize that.
Maybe that's why so many around the
world followed the election of the new Pope of the Catholic Church. I suspect
many who followed all the ceremony and mystery were not even members of the
Catholic Church. But they still cared. And they cared for their religion, their
church, their faith, and their Family.
Now we all can poke holes into any
one religion and its leaders. Sure they are fallible.
But the election of a new Pope of
the Catholic Church was a good reminder of how important religion is to so many
people.
And I respect them for it.
