The pendulum swings

       What prompts this post is the school academic scandal in Atlanta, Georgia.  Mostly it is about teachers cheating on test scores for our children, like to improve their scores. I assume it also has to do with getting more government money for improved scores.

            What bothers me is the question...how about our kids and their success in their life, as tough as it may be by our standards. My standard is pretty simple, like make change as part of commerce.

            And so, the ultimate question remains, do we have standards?  And will we hold ourselves and our kids to these standards?  And teach them, too.

            Only time will tell.
