Misery in increments
Nobody wants to be cold and wet and miserable! In the end it does wear out we humans and other animals out there in the bad weather.
Now there's nothing too much wrong with being cold. After all we have good gear to do well in the cold and dry season, like even skiing. And we have barns to bring the animals in from the chilling wind to help them, too.
Today's local weather where I live prompts this post, since it may even snow tonight, though it may also end up just being cold and wet and miserable.
So memories kicked in. I once let a driving thunderstorm soak me soak me out in the elements at South Toro Key at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, and the outside temperature was warm; but once soaked to the skin, I got chilled, and have not forgotten that. I was kind of miserable.
So be kind to your relatives that become cold and wet and miserable. You're often hearing an honest report. And nobody wants them to get sick and expire early from all this bad experience. Or even relatives taking the time to heal them. And nobody wants them to lie to us either, like about what they have done and where they have been. I know this can happen, too.
So any effort to take care of relatives who go out in the elements when things are cold and wet should be thought of, cared for, nurtured, protected, whatever.
