Home-made Hydraulic Ram Pump

Included in the link is how it works. These kinds of pumps still exist all over the world. Even I use one in east Tennessee, USA. All my water for all uses comes from my natural springs and a hydraulic ram, 24/7/365.

I believe the design goes back to England in 1879. Basically it is a water powered pump which needs no electricity to run.
