I used to live by the coast in
several places.
I often used to buy shrimp fresh from
the boat, usually a trawler. There were usually two prices, one for bait shrimp
and one for eating shrimp. I never could figure out the difference.
I also used to use a casting net to
catch shrimp in shallow estuaries.
Where I live now in rural east
Tennessee, the shrimp I get here tends to be frozen and farm raised, usually in
SE Asia.
