This
article (really a compilation of articles) is a bit geeky for many.
Our
human ingenuity will allow us to best accommodate whatever happens where you
live.
It
won't be easy.
This
issue has little to do with either global warming or a mini-ice age, or
anything else you sense and believe.
There
are many "wild-card" events, like volcanoes, that cannot be reliably
predicted and also affect our fate. Even where I now live in east Tennessee,
and counting tree rings, the great volcano Krakatoa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1883_eruption_of_Krakatoa) in Indonesia in the 1880's adversely
affected the growing seasons here for two years. Even the eruption of Pinatubo
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Pinatubo) in the Philippines in 1991
provided some spectacular sunsets in Virginia.
