Energy

Energy

A long wiki article on the subject can be found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy

The article is a bit geeky for many, or so I suspect.

Posters comments:

We humans, and life, need energy to exist.

Some obvious examples of we humans using energy are in cooking, and keeping warm in the cold season.  Other obvious examples are in transportation, like in our use of cars and trucks; and in communications, like our telephones, TV's, radio, and the Internet, often to try get the "news"; and even trying to keep cool in the warm season, be it by use of air conditioning or even fans. We even use energy to make clean water and in our waste water systems. And of course we use energy to grow our food and trees. And we use it to make artificial light. Even before electricity, we used things like whale oil and fire to make artificial light.

More people means more energy use. No (like zero)  sunshine means we will probably die.

In fairness, some people use more per capita energy than other people, but we all use energy.
