How to Make an Electrical Transformer

There are many links on this subject. Here is one of them: http://www.wikihow.com/Make-an-Electrical-Transformer

The conventional forecast is that if our public electrical grid fails for whatever reason, most often failed transformers will be part of the problem. In general, expect up to three years until new transformers can be manufactured to satisfy the needs of where you live. Needless to say, there will be much competition, world-wide worse case.

I presently live in a rural area where I expect to get the short end of the stick as far as gaining a priority for replacement transformers goes.

So knowing how to make an electrical transformer may be a skill that helps you depending on your situation. Remember, it doesn't have to work forever. Rather a shorter time will be better than nothing.
