            Sometimes one wants to be seen as a way of intimidating the opposition.  Now that decision on what to do will depend on the situation where you live. And keep in mind the various seasons also depend on where you live. One can over time denude an area of natural vegetative camouflage, so consider a large area (to you)  to use for cutting down camouflage if you use it. A smart person would even use the clearing of fields of fire vegetation for such a purpose. Last, generally speaking, camouflage does not work well for the local critters. Rather the intent is the local bad people human beings who often want to hurt us and steal our food.

            Defeating the local critters is another problem all by itself. They get hungry, too, so protecting our gardens against critters and humans is a big deal to me, like 24/7/365.

            Using mud to paste on our skin is also a decent camouflage method.

            One can even use "fake" contamination signs as a method of camouflage, as another example of effective alternatives.
