Try
not to get dehydrated. In other words, drink water or some kind of liquid.
Memorize
the signs of heat problems, like heat stroke, and heat exhaustion. Heat stroke
may kill us, and maybe our brains.
Once
one gets cramps for dehydration, it is too late to start taking liquids for
immediate relief. I plan on a 4 hour recovery at that point and time. I learned
this from having run 17 marathons. In the meantime, start rehydrating as soon
as you can.
I
plan on using Gatorade powder as a quick
way to create and use a rehydration mix, be it from exercise, work, or burns.
Plus powder usually has a longer shelf life than the liquid version. In all cases, try
store it in a cool dark place. And in hard times, be prepared to ignore good times expiration dates, especially if one has stored things in a cool, dark place.
Now
in good times, go see your doctor. Now in really hard times here's a manual formula for creating your own rehydration liquid.
A basic oral rehydration therapy solution is composed primarily of salt, sugar, and water using a standard ratio.
