The payload is on the move! Caleb woke up early today and is
now carrying the payload past Marie Lake
They are camping in a place called Rosemarie Meadow
Our payload is camping out with Caleb Smith for a second
night in a row
Well, it looks like the hiker will arrive at the drop off
point on Sunday, and then the place will mail it out to us
Also, the hiker was the first to witness the landing of the
payload. It parachuted down only 50 feet from where he was standing. #NASA
Guess what?!?!?!? The hiker, Caleb Smith, just called us,
and he's gonna drop it off at a nearby town for us!
...however, we will lose signal from the tracker in an hour
and a half, and then we will have to trust the Good intentions of the hiker
The unknown hiker is still to carrying the payload down the
John Muir trail...
We were wrong! The payload is moving again which means the
hiker still has it! This could mean a very easy recovery:)
Still no news...we're thinking the hiker left it by the
trail, but his efforts did make our recovery a little bit easier :)
Well so far the payload hasn't moved since last night, so
either the hiker dumped it or hasn't woken up yet...
Hopefully we'll know more about the payload and who's
carrying it tomorrow. We'll let you know when we know!
The payload landed and was actually picked up by a passing
hiker who took it down the trail aways, we
have yet to have contact with the hiker
Soooo... The payload landed right in the middle of the John
muir trail, and the team is still discussing recovery dates
THE BALLOON HAS LANDED!!! Looks like its in the sierras,
which means its gonna be a very difficult recovery
