A Life in the Country story

No wonder bird houses often have squirrel guards on them

Today I have a chipmunk and a bird eating the same bird food on my back porch rail.

Well, we all have our hobbies, and I like feeding wild birds, and watching them eat. It makes me happy. Trying to figure out what they are is also sometimes challenging.

Now the chipmunk is possessive of its food, too.

It should be interesting to see how it sorts out during this nice spring day on the Cumberland Plateau in east Tennessee.

Now there is a dove out there eating what remains. Doves are big and tend to run off their eating competition.

I may have to go put some more bird food out.

Life in the Country goes on!
