I can't vouch for the accuracy.

One perspective. In my little town in east Tennessee the population is about what it was a century ago, about 5,000. The change is that around 50% is supposedly from South of the Border, with half being from Mexico, and half being from Guatemala. Neither of these two groups think well of each other, by the way. We have a chicken plant here, which may be a work attractor, though I don't know for sure. And the local grocery store where I shop has a nice selection of south of the border food items, and food shoppers.
