Rolling blackout
Poster’s comments:
1)
Been there, done that. It is not fun,
but also definitely survivable as many people in the world already know.
2)
Just keep your refrigerator and
freezer doors closed (or minimize the opening and closing) if you can during the blackout period.
3)
Consider making your freezer kind of
a super refrigerator, too. Mostly that means just adjusting your thermostat.
4)
What’s wrong with using “pig tails”
and screwing light bulbs in and out to turn them off and on?
5)
Always remember the sight and smell
test where you live. If the food doesn’t look right or smell right perhaps it
has already gone bad.
6)
Plan B is more community oriented.
Like share the food that might go bad with others, and before it goes bad.
7)
Spices do help cover the bad aroma of
meat going bad.
