Gun safety
Now there are similar subjects, too.
For example, one can learn about gun politics and even gun control.
As a Marine I too know something
about gun safety and gun experiences. This idea includes pistol safety, too.
From my point of view, the
"safety" part of the expression is a big deal. Many fellow citizens
think of a gun or pistol as a good way to provide safety for themselves and
their Family. I understand this, and agree with the sentiment and faith.
I also believe there is no
"accidental" discharge. There is only "negligent" discharge
of any gun. I also believe there are many ways to fight others, to include
guns. Fortunately there are other lethal ways, too. For example, we had to take
away folding sharpened shovels from some Marines during times of great racial
problems. Sharpened shovels work well, too, depending on the situation.
Even where I live gun safety is a
problem that affects me. Many of our children where I live can get and shoot
guns, but have little "safety" training; and now I even have had
bullets flying by my head and the kids laughing at it all. So sometimes, I have
to shoot back, and that usually takes care of it until the next batch grows up.
So for all the gun type people, I
agree. But I also wish, hope, and suggest you teach gun safety as best you can.
I myself have been shot at on more
than one occasion, and I did not like the experience, especially now on my own
land these days. It's happened to me.
