Chicory coffee is very
good if you know how to make it right. It is a good caffeine free substitute
for coffee.
Steps
1. 1
Find some chicory. It is a beautiful
purple flower that grows in empty lots and beside the road in North America.

Dig up the plant being
careful to preserve the roots.

Wash the roots until all
the dirt is off. Dry the whole root on a paper or cotton towel.

Mince the roots with a
sharp knife.

Toast the root pieces on
a baking sheet at 350 degrees until golden brown.

Bring 1 cup of water to a
boil then add 2 Tbs of the toasted chicory root. Cover and let simmer
for 10-15 minutes.
