Another custom that can be fun

       It has worked even in the last half century

First the custom.

If one stands under mistletoe, one can share a holiday kiss with another. I think the origin is Scandinavian pagan, but I don't really know for sure. As I believe the American custom, it is also a good way for a boy and girl to kiss "legally", like without a lot of harassment from their parents or others. Now that sounds OK, to me.

Now I even think of kissing on the lips, vice a more benign kissing on someone's face's cheeks.

Of course the boy and girl often covertly plan the whole event, but that is part of the fun.

And, yuck, don't get caught with a relative there, like having to kiss your brother or sister. Yuck!
