1) My main intent in
using an adze is for gardening in local hard and compacted soil to break it up
better than the alternative garden tools can do.
2) I have a limestone
version (the blade only) that is
believed to have been used by local Indians for gardening purposes.
3) I can also use it as a
fighting tool, especially when sharpened.
4) Here's a sample picture of an adze. There are many variations, too.
