What directions do weather patterns generally move across the US?

What directions do weather patterns generally move across the US?

Answer:

Weather patterns in the contiguous 48 states almost invariably move west to east overall.

Now if you can get a recent weather report, by all means try to do so. One obvious example is trying to predict if you might be affected by a nuclear incident, or a big volcano, a big wild fire, etc. As I recall, some of the effects of Chernobyl were west of the incident area, and while that area in not in the USA, it does provide an example of why one should try to get a recent weather forecast and report in lieu of a more technically accurate report you trust.
