            Now the way I am taught, most pasta is wheat flour based, but I also use some brown rice based pasta, too. So think of it as a style of cooking, vice just a way of cooking wheat flour.

            Now what kind of food are our USA Marines eating in Sigonella, Italy, I don't know.

            I can imagine boiled water and locally purchased  pasta, as a start. That includes breakfast time, too.

            Add in some flavorings, and all in all, not a bad meal.
