Mission First

            Mission first applies to a lot more than just the military

Here's a first blush list that has been on my mind quite a while.

            Educate our children, vice indoctrinate our children. The intent is their success in life.

            Teaching is about our children and our future, not an adult jobs program.

            Government must represent the people.

            Learning the 3R's (reading, writing, arithmetic) is a mission statement.

            What have you done for the customer today?

            Supporting oneself and their Family is a mission statement.

            Being a good steward of the land is a mission statement.

            Leading a moral life is a mission statement.

            Acting on the facts is a mission statement. Wishful thinking and good intentions is not a mission statement.

            There is only one real reason. There are many good reasons. Trying to sort out the difference is often difficult. The mission is to find out what is the one real reason for doing something.

            Acting on one's opponent's capabilities is mission oriented. Acting on imagined intents is psycho babble.
