Is government becoming a jobs program?

            And nothing else.

This post is just about where l live in east Tennessee, USA, supposedly the bastion of old fashioned thought.

My local county government now pays some people to walk in the morning, and get paid for it.

My local county government  now also invents new jobs out of thin air through a committee process.

Other county employees just walk around in general throughout the day.

My local state government in Nashville supposedly opens at 0800, but the employees did not even turn on their telephone answering system until 0930 this morning.

And I am supposed to pay for all this!

Now in fairness, I assume some government employees are put out by all this mess. But I still get to pay for all this mess, and even get put in jail if I fight it.

And again, in fairness, this whole corrupt system has probably gone on for decades, if not more. But in my judgment, the times are getting worse, like it's time to unscrew it if one wants change.
