In case you didn’t know

There are still a lot of wild and hard to get to places in the world today.

To me there are four reasons that make sense to me.

1)      Access and weather often makes it very difficult to even visit such places.

2)      The earth, and its geology, is always changing, usually in spurts in the short term and gradually in the long term. Said another way, exploring is usually a tough business since things change, and even earlier recons are often not adequate.

3)      Maybe in another century all these “experiences” will not be a good report of reality.

4)      And last, there is the human factor. To explore some of these places often risks life and limb in 2015. There are still very dangerous places to visit and explore.
