How to make soap at your home

How to make soap at your home

First, here is one link on how to make lye, one of the ingredients in most soap recipes:  http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Lye

Second, here is one more link on how to then make simple soap at home like our pioneer ancestors had to do:  http://woodridgehomestead.com/2010/09/09/pioneer-soap-making/

Last, here is one more link that kind of puts it all together for those in a hurry:  http://candleandsoap.about.com/od/soapmakingsafety/tp/Making-Lye-from-Wood-Ashes.htm  Warning: this last link may in fact slow one down. You figure it out.

Most of the links have all the appropriate warnings as lye can be dangerous to humans and pets.

Just imagine all the obvious uses for soap. Like use it to keep our clothes clean, keep our bodies clean,  aid our Family health and healing,  help clean our cooking instruments, even help our pets who may protect and alert us,  too.
