Gin and tonic

In the USA these days, the
percentage of quinine is much reduced these days in OTC (over the counter)
tonic waters.
I believe quinine is still considered
a good way to fight malaria, if concentrated enough.
Gin and tonics were originally a way to drink alcohol, and also a way to
tamp down the bad taste that quinine gives most humans.
