The Memory Method of History and News

There are many other links on this
subject, too.
The "memory method" does
take selection and training, in my
opinion. Clearly, some are better suited at this method than others. The
alternative, which is very good, is called reading and writing, again, in my
opinion. This second method has pretty much won out these days.
And this is not some esoteric
subject, though it could be. Even in the sport of orienteering (a map and
compass sport), memory orienteering is still part of training at a higher
level.
Even in ancient times, there was a
"memory" school in Malta, for which parents and communities would have to ship their selected children
off to the school, and I presume pay for it, too.
