Tough love and Charity

Tough love and Charity

       Just thinking ahead

Will I share what I have? It's a moral obligation,  to me. Of course, this idea is with an emphasis on "as best I can".

Will some people try abuse my charity? Probably.

Will I use tough love? Probably. Each situation is just that, a special situation.

Will I try splurge sometimes? Probably, usually around holidays.

Will treating people like Marines be considered harsh? Probably.

Are soup kitchens immoral?  Never.

Do soup kitchens have to offer healthy and clean and livable food?  Yes, as best I can, like with more food and less water.

Will some be people I cannot stand, and often they cannot stand me, either?  Probably.

Will standards change over time, like from the first year to later times? Probably.

What is tough love? How about wood cutting and splitting, for example?

Is sex a requirement for food?  Never. That is simply mixing business with pleasure, which is always a bad practice for anybody. Will it happen anyway?  Probably.

Do our children have an advantage?  Yes, and somewhat. One must take care of the parents, too. Nobody wants more kids to worry about.

How about health and dental care?  Well it does depend on the season, and tough love applies.  Mostly try keep our sick and infirm warm and hydrated, as best one can. Sometimes we do die, too.

Use respect in whatever sorts out where you live. Even destitute and hungry and sick people expect respect.

Will communal/barracks/expeditionary standards work?  Yes.  And often very well.

Will the whole process be inconvenient?  Probably.
