One more season of water
I just returned from mostly checking
my local RAM, which provides clean water for the normal reasons, as well as
water for other things like keeping the septic system working OK, too. And the
RAM was pumping fine. Heck, I guess one
could even use toilet water to mix drinks, best case.
What was more fun, to me, was
checking out the "highest" spring, elevation wise. It normally starts
up around April 15th of the present year, but it had already started up . We did have a rainy summer which I guess is why the very early start, which is at the "dribble" level of output.
The traditional routine is that this
spring will increase its output into July until it fades again around October.
Now that is rear-end backwards to most springs, but that is what happens.
Local speculation is that all this is related to the local water table rising after the winter rains and snow, compounded by the delay that springs include, but
nobody really knows for sure.
