Bottom line: Take it as easy as you can, and try
stay warm and hydrated, and let your body heal itself. If you choose and can,
get a second opinion, like from your doctor or even a medic.
Now you can take over-the-counter drugs, like aspirin (for pain and
healing) or even acetaminophen
(for the pain). Just remember not to take too
much in order to help our livers. And aspirin is not for kids if you follow
conventional wisdom.
I suspect if times should get harder, then bruises (and soreness from
exercise type things – like gardening) may also become more common.
