Broom making 101
From an email yesterday.
Attached is a photo of what I made this morning. It is a witch’s
type broom.
It even works at sweeping, too.
The stick came from an old broom or mop handle I saved in the barn
storage area (it could have come from the woods, too), and the broom sedge came
from Overton Field, though it could have come from about anywhere around
here. The wire is from an old metal clothes hanger.
Even sea grass would probably work OK, too.
Next to it is store bought broom, which is much better I think
most would observe and say.
What got my attention is my monthly “Mexican” cleaning crew, which
preferred to use a broom and dust pan to an American vacuum cleaner.
