Community events

Keeping people busy, and often entertained, can be a big deal, especially for morale reasons.

Man’s willingness to work on things important to them is simply amazing to this person. How they make the time, or have the extra energy, is more than most can imagine. But we know it can, and often does, happen. And to many it is also time off, or a period of thinking about better times and situations.  It can be just plain fun during any hard times period.

So how about things like folk singing (hootenanny anyone (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hootenanny), a cookout, dancing, a sports game, or a religious service; all come to my mind.  We are only limited by our imaginations, and even our other hobbies we practice on our own most often.  Quilting and barn raising and local arts and crafts and story telling come to my mind since they have often have practical implications, too.

But first just try to have some fun, like take your pack off.
