Have you ever been rocketed in your own home?

Have you ever been rocketed in your own home?

Get ready since it is already happening in Israel as reported.

I use the term rockets because most know about them. But it can be other weapons, like mortars or artillery or air delivered bombs.

Mostly one seeks shelter, like their basement or bath tub or even a bomb shelter (best case).  The old days of using such shelters for make out places are over (I’ve done such and it was fun). Such places now have other values, too. The bomb shelters (where I did my make out deeds) in southern California are now long torn down, by the way.  The fear then was Japanese bombing, also by the way.

And it is a crap shoot today (where the bombs and other such things may end up falling) of sorts. Said another way, one is probably OK, but one also never knows what will happen where they happen to be at the time. I even got caught once peeing and had to decide whether to finish by quickly peeing on myself, or finishing up my urination chore before I jumped into a foxhole. I decided in that case by finishing up my urination chore before jumping into a foxhole. And the rockets (Brazilian made I think) fell about a kilometer away, also by the way. So no big deal. And “a miss is as good as a mile” like the old term goes.

And then there is sleeping and deciding whether to get the Family up and get into a shelter you hope works (hopefully), or just lay there thinking what you hear is “outgoing” when one is awakened (so someone is still working in the middle of the night).  Now that is your decision and your experience where you live and try to survive.

It is kind of like being in a tornado area and a terrible storm is coming through.  What do you decide to do?

All in all, it is not a fun experience. And some humans are already getting to go through this experience just by being in the wrong place according to someone else, I guess.
