Taking back America is the wrong phrase

Preserving America and protecting America is a better description. First is the almost religious term of peace of mind, as in just take a breath and think about things and what is important. Much of what is reported and talked about and even emphasized is small scale stuff. It is not important to most Americans. While many of us, at least me, get riled up, the media reports that may gain votes, many also see these same media reports as losing votes. Maybe the premise about stupid American voters is wrong; maybe it is even a timing question. Busy young people working will only focus on their votes as the time gets close. The present forecasts about how they think and will vote are about 13 months ahead of time and are wasteful. The present day sports guesses are about the same. Trust performance and votes over paid pundits and their constructed polls.

The thankfulness for the present day situation falls two ways. First are our values, and second are our practical practices.

Only citizens and voters can define values, not any politician, though they will try. This is a classical case of the horse and the cart, and who is leading who. And there is nothing to apologize for as parents assert themselves to promote their children and chance of success. Back to the basics works. There are many distracters these days, but parent’s effects still work best.

Is sexual promiscuity a right? Of course the answer is no. Most girls still know it, and thank goodness. The disease factor as being part of self respect and safe sex is most important. And we have all been there and done that. Boys lying to girls is as old as humanity. Girls lying to boys is also as old as humanity. What is not as old as humanity is the present situation, where some combination of birth control chemicals and old fashioned shame is counter balanced by young women having babies out of wedlock, and bragging about it. This is not correct. Promiscuity is not a right, nor to be tolerated, nor even condoned. More importantly, it applies to having children out of wedlock.

The best answer is to vote in 2008, locally, state wide, and federally. The idea is not to take back America. The common theme is to be America.

Good article with some good common sense. You're right, not everyone gets as worked up about things as we do. Yhey simply don't have the time, and in their eyes the 2008 elections aren't even on their radar screens yet. A lot of my young married friends are in this boat. And you're also right about the still-existing good common sense of the American people. That's good to be reminded of that every once in a while.

However, there certainly are many very active, and sometimes unfortunately quite effective, forces out there who are tring to radically change our American culture. And these dangerous enemies within have to be exposed and countered.

I personally tire the Left routinely forcing their Progressive Agenda down my throat. For example, how many of us want to see same-sex makeout scenes on TV? And if we don't accept that, we're merely narrow-minded bigots...

Furthermore, this alliance between the Left and Islam is quite perverse; all due to its combined hatred of all things Judeo-Christian.
