Tis the season
Here’s an idea.....
Send your Family out “trick or treating” full of warm pumpkin
soup. Boost it up with half and half cream and milk, and a dash of cinnamon, if
you choose.
There’s a bunch of recipes on the Internet, or you get can get a soup
mix, too.
Or just give each kid a small zip lock bag filled with roasted and
salted Pepitas.
Now Halloween seems like an American tradition, but I think the
tradition originally came out of pagan times from elsewhere.
Now an easy fall back is to just use canned mushroom soup and
heated garlic bread, either before or after trick or treating. Probably before
makes more sense. Let the local weather guide you. And one can “fancy up” the
names, like call the mushroom soup “porcini”.
