Life without electricity
Present day
energy is mostly provided by electricity. It is a good product that a whole
industry is based on, too. That includes the many repair people who work
outside when electricity goes out.
Mostly and
to many, no public electricity often means no heat during the cold season. Even those who use natural gas for their
heating still suffer if the public electrical power is off and does not power
the various controls.
So can we
survive. Of course we can. That idea includes keeping our water pipes from
freezing and bursting.
Often it,
like the heat alternatives, comes from burning more old fashioned things like
wood and coal. This use of energy applies to cooking and cleaning, too, like
having warm water for all its various uses.
Now mining
coal, or cutting and often splitting and then stacking wood, does take a lot of
human time, too.
