            TVP is not a bad way to go in serving one's Family during hard times.  It has a long shelf life, and is light weight for the camper types. This American high tech food has been around for decades, too. And it is full of protein and fiber, also.  It can make an extra source of food for school lunches and soup kitchens, to boot.
