Food and eating for life
As a Marine it comes down to
nutrition of food vice taste of the food. This idea applies in all climes and
places and situations.
Ideally, it is a little of both, but
if push comes to shove, I sure want to eat nutritious food first, followed by
tasty food second. In other words I don't want to die from starvation and the
usual consequences of malnutrition, especially if I have a sacred mission to
accomplish.
This idea should apply to any hard
times situation, too. An obvious example is a "soup kitchen" scenario;
even a food bank scenario.
Last, and if we have to take care of
each other as best we can, kind of like charity, remember the old saying that a
Marine is not happy if they are not bitching. There is a lot of wisdom being
expressed in this old time saying. Maybe even some adjustments in standards are
going on, too.
