Lying as a way to rule

       Short term gain, long term loss.

            Who knows what to believe these days? Now in fairness that is often a voter question, like a people being ruled question.

            I, myself, expect some amount of lying or smooth talking when people are running for office.  But I also expect some honesty about what is going on as it affects my quality of life, and when those we elected are eventually ruling. Best case in the USA, those we elected should even represent us, which is pretty much what I expect. Even the propaganda method doesn't help my quality of life in the long run. And by quality of life, I imagine ideas like good health and self respect for me and my Family.  After all, we all know we will die sometime.  The often asked question is how, to include how soon respectfully? And always is the future and hope, often expressed through our children.

            So the practical result to me where I live is to plan ahead if times should get hard, like the rulers screw it up and I and my children have to suffer. Such is one example of losing trust, faith, and confidence in the present rulers who choose lying as a way to rule.

            Said another way, the end never justifies the means.
