Tolerating losers is about over in
the new world USA
I am always astonished when some politician
stakes out some position that he or she wants to help the "poor". That seems to be a common position for those
in the more liberal/progressive bent who have done OK in life. And I don't
recall hearing much about it during any election cycle. Rather it seems to come out more often during
the governing cycle.
The days of the robber barons and
such are also long gone.
Most economic things have changed in
the last century in the USA, and there are very few poor in the USA through no
fault of their own, or so I believe. Most of the USA poor are more
traditionally poor (really government poor) these days for all the usual reasons. And they have no right to take
the rest of us down to their economic degradation and even death. This includes any
politician who claims to represent them in his or her vision. And any leader who adopts this position is
worthy of replacement, in my opinion.
Now in fairness, we in the USA for
decades now have had government policies and practices that broke up Families,
and dumbed down our population. So that is a factor, too.
After all and in the end, I have
things I will still fight for. And I also have a Family and children I want to
succeed on their own, as best they can and work for. I am not inclined to work
for and pay my taxes to losers and politicians who claim to represent these losers as a priority,
either.
Losers seldom vote, by the way. And
when they do, things like economic collapse in Detroit usually happen
eventually. There is no free lunch. And I use to vacation there, by the way.
And the poor losers continue to
breed, and the poor are just as likely to be males as females these days. And
like most, I too wish to help their children. But, my priority is to
help all young people the best I can; and then I also expect them to lift
themselves up by their own boot straps as part of the effort, too. And along the way, some children will
enter poverty, also. So be it. Our new world USA has a long history of both.
The successes, which are many and the majority, make me proud to be an
American.
And believe me, I have done enough charity to be solid in my convictions.
And believe me, I have done enough charity to be solid in my convictions.
Like John F. Kennedy said in his
inaugural speech, do for your country before you do for yourself. We all
have a common present and future when heeding these words. Losers who will not
work should pay attention, I think. Said another way, losers who will not move
or change their standards for work will probably just die off early, and
probably will if times should get hard. Drug and alcohol induced car crashes
are one usual example where I live.
