I myself have been saving my dryer
lint for a couple of years in old cans and things I save. Well I used it
recently, and the old Scout trick about using dryer lint worked just fine, including
helping start my cooking fire during a rehearsal, which worked out well. And I
do have a barn to store all this stuff in, which will help in the future I
suspect. Right now I store this lint on top of my 1928 GE refrigerator in my
pantry, which is by the electric dryer.
In hindsight, it's hard to believe I
use to throw it (dryer lint) away, and now I depend on it during any hard times
situation.
The other ideas in the link seem
pretty reasonable, too.
