Here we go again
This time
around it appears the appeasers are going to get a lot of people killed in
their appeasement way of thinking.
The time for
talking has passed, in my humble opinion.
Just
wondering did anybody get a chance to vote on this subject? I don’t think so.
Now in my
simple mind, diplomacy is a good course of action to take. But it must be
backed up by the “big stick” idea for it to work, like the threat of force.
That seems to be lacking these days, so if it comes to war, we in the west will
be militarily weak initially. So be it. That is just happening right now.
Perhaps we
will surrender in the end. I just don’t know. I personally don’t think that
will happen. Rather we the people will take charge as best we can.
But if the
dictator and megalomaniac in Russia has his way, then the Ukraine is just one
step in his plans. Later come the Baltic Countries, like he can just take them
over and then rule them.
And don’t
forget the South China Sea frictions, too.
And in the
meantime, we in the USA are disarming. What a waste when it is time to pay the
piper. The payment will be in blood and extra money, too; like a lot of our
children’s blood and our money.
Maybe when
it becomes more apparent, and our then USA federal government politicians reinstitute
a military draft of our sons and our daughters, then maybe our people will rise
up and revolt in one way or the other. In the meantime, a lot of people are
going to die in all probability.
This time
around, while we may end up fighting, I suspect the outcome will be a lot
different, like we the people are still in charge.
Clausewitz
had a good point in the early 1800’s when he said something like “war is an
extension of politics by another means”.
