Impeachment

Impeachment

And it won't just be Obama

As a quick civics review, the USA House of Representatives finds reasons for a trial in the USA Senate. Then the USA Senate holds a trial, often called a political trial.

Impeachments seldom happen, mostly for political reasons, in my opinion.

But suppose, as part of political change, that the USA Senate goes to the opposition party, the Republicans. Then the equations change.

Now, again in my opinion, one should not be impeached just for their own political opinions.  That just comes across as too immoral and wrong, to me. We have better ways to voice our politics and accept the consequences of the vote.

But if some leaders blatantly violate their oath, and the USA Constitution, for their own politics, then I think we in the new world USA need to remove them from their positions of influence, and mismanagement, as it often seems these days. The USA is oozing with good leaders and managers, as well as dummies, too. Even I will accept moral dummies as better that immoral dummies. Often "dummies" is a code word for "educated fools".

Will the whole impeachment process be extended, demanding, and often embarrassing? Probably.

Might it take two phases to cleanse our country through the impeachment process? Maybe.

Will it be propagandized in the media as some kind of "Salem Witch Trials"? Probably.

Will the new world USA be better off for the whole episode? Yes!

What a sad state of affairs, but that is the set of cards we in the USA seem to have been dealt these days.

Now one alternative is "pitch forks in the streets", which, lord knows, we don't won't to do, but can if we need to do so, I guess. I, myself, prefer the impeachment process to try change things, and see what our elected Senators decide.
