From an email

Hi XXXX,

Thanks for the call last night:

In case you run into XXXX again, he also had a brother who was also a West Point grad.

His brother, Mike, was killed in Vietnam during the battle of Dak To ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_dak_to ). Mike is buried in California.

    Here’s his brother’s West Point obit:  http://www.west-point.org/users/usma1964/25405/

Also, if you get into history, another good book to read is:  http://books.google.com/books?id=mD9uAAAAMAAJ  I am confident it will be in the library at school. I read it during my last time at Camp Lejeune.

It became a movie you may have seen, called We Were Soldiers Once. It starred Mel Gibson.

If you intend to become a rotary wing guy, there are many good books on the subject. One is called Chickenhawk ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chickenhawk_(book) ). It came out in 1983.

Anyway, if you see XXXX again, please say hello for me.

XXXX

PS Your XXXX knows him well, too.  He even visited us in Atlanta when we lived in Doraville. You were probably too young to remember. He knows a lot about Napoleonic artillery, by the way. He’s even been on the History Channel on the subject.
