Everyone likes time off

But educating our children is a sacred responsibility all we parents have. After all, nobody is born knowing much of what education provides them. In my opinion, there is only so much time in the year, and to not take advantage of that time is simply immoral and inviting of mob rule.

So when I read the Mayor of New York City wants to add Muslim Holidays to the school calendar of days off, that’s fine and I think I understand his good purpose, but he is still screwing over the kids in the long run.

So how willing I am in east Tennessee willing to work even more to support his agenda if his City goes south. “Going south” often means there are simply not enough educated workers to do what needs to be done.  I also suspect New York City is not too big to fail, and so let the place crumble in its effects. After all, there are many other places with good ports that will simply take up the mantle, so to speak.

While the transition will probably be painful to many, and take more than a decade, so be it. The times they are a changin’.
